The village of Portpatrick is located in southwest Scotland on the Mull of Galloway. The village is the closest point between Scotland and Ireland and was for many years the main mail and passenger link between the two countries. Since the end of the nineteenth century Portpatrick has developed as a popular holiday resort.
The village boasts many superb first class seafood restaurants specialising in fresh local produce, Knockinaam Lodge which has a Michelin Star is only a short drive away. The village is not just a haven of good food, it is blessed with unusually warm weather & local gardens make the most of the balmy climate.
